3 Freshers Week Outfits

28 | 09 | 14

I thought I would try, for you lovely people, my very first outfit post.
This week was my freshers and here are three of the outfits that I really enjoyed wearing out during the week.
I found it so difficult to take the photos so if anyone has tips and tricks for taking good outfit photos  pretty please comment and let me know.
*Disclaimer : I am not a big clubber- thats just not who I am or what I enjoy the most- so these I wore to try out cocktail bars and to blues bars/watching bands.  I am also not super dressy so these may not look to formal but they are about as formal as I go. That was just how my freshers panned out- so these outfits won't be everyones idea of 'freshers week' but- meh I like them!
Also Most of these things are old and well loved so I can't really provide Links for everything -

this is for Inspiration x

Outfit 1 - 'On the Sophisticated Side'

This is my attempt at looking suave- (ish anyhow) with figure hugging classic black and an excuse to whack put my gorgeous new
Hobbs Trench Coat. I had my hair in a smooth low bun and I felt like a bond girl the whole night.

Trench Coat - Hobbs
Black Vest - Newlook
Skinny Jeans - Topshop
Ankle Boots- Newlook
Necklace - Untraceable French market stall (I'm Afraid)

Outfit 2- Posher Than Punk

I am always one to wear clothes with an edge rather than something pretty, dark and denim will always trump something flowery and flowy- especially when heading into the Autumn.
With this outfit I wore all dark and let my Mane flow free. With a dark Lip and strong Eyebrows I felt Confident and like no one could mess with me (even with my belly out)!

Cropped tee- Newlook
Cut of Grey Jeans - Levis (Vintage)
Duster Coat - Primark (Bargain)
Black Platforms - Zara (Last years so not out anymore sorry)

Outfit 3- Arts School

Dress - p & n (Festival Stall)
- Topshop
Chunky Boots (Similar) - Topshop
By the end of my freshers week at an arts college I had been inspired by all the incredible, inventive outfits I had witnessed. So I wore something a little more exciting and out there and went with this - possibly the craziest item of clothing that I own. This dress version of Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night certainly turned a few heads and got a few compliments. I hardened it up a bit with some rather and chunky boots to make it more my safe style, but I really enjoyed putting myself out there a bit more.

Thanks for reading, I really hope to do some more outfit posts so let me know if you if you liked it

- See you next week

Looking Androgynous down Brick Lane

18 | 9 | 14

Three weeks ago I, along with the boys in the band, moved to South London.
It has been a complete whirlwind so far, and I am trying really hard to make the most of my time before I start university at the end of the month.

We have developed a hobby of picking a area of London that we've heard a lot about, jumping on the tube and exploring.

My new favourite place in London has to be Shoreditch and anytime I get the chance I head down there. from Old Spitalfields Market to Brick Lane it just has so much style and personality- it is always so surprising and everyone just seems so over-whelmingly cool.
If you are in London and haven't been (why?) and you much go
exploring.

Really could not be arsed with my outfit on this day so opted for my incredibly comfy Pull&Bear Boyfriend Jeans, plain navy slightly cropped tee, classic black converse, a very old fluffy cardigan from Zara and absolutely no makeup.

Really looking forward to exploring and doing posts on more areas in London.
Thanks for reading
