Birthday
Yesterday was my 19th birthday.
I am an extremely lucky girl and was pampered all day by my family and lovely Boyfriend.
Coming up this weekend will be a post on some of the cool presents I received.

He's the day in Pictures.

Waitresses are people too.

This is something a little different.
I have been inspired by a post I saw on tumblr along the lines of

'be kind to everyone because everyone is dealing with their own life just as much as you are"

I am a barista/waitress at a coffee house and have been for going on a year (to fund my big move to London in the summer)

Don't get me wrong- I love it! I am a 100% black coffee addict. People are lovely but a certain kind of customer has grabbed my attention.

I was at work having a conversation with a customer and was told
"Wow! You're kind of clever! you shouldn't be doing this lousy job...."

Your waitress/waiter is not- an idiot
                          - below you
      - and therefore just there for you to take problems out on.
I believe this is the wrong outlook to have on human beings in general

I just want to spread the message of be kind. Whether to a waitress, people who clean your car, who scan through your food at the super market, whatever. You don't know anything about them and they are just trying to work through the day like you are.

Having someone be nice with a smile or a thank you, I know first hand, can cheer up a day.

(P.S. A little nervous about putting up photos of me properly for the first time. I apologise for lack of face)

(all coffees made by me)

please comment and let me know if you like to see this kind of thing on my blog!

Favourite- Instax mini 8

Again I start with an apology -on holiday I didn't have the internet I thought I would so couldn't post. (also, you know, spending time with the family and all that)

I have something today to talk about that everyone else has already raved about. I just want to as well because i am 100% OBSESSED!

It is, of course, my gorgeous and baby blue Fujifilm Instax Mini.

Just look at it.
I know, I know, every blogger and youtuber under the sun has one and loves them. I just want to add my own thoughts because they are (as everyone says) really lovely objects to own.

It is so so easy to use-

-the films come in packs of ten that you pop in the back matching up the little yellow stripe.

-runs on batteries that come with it

-It has a light to recommend which setting to use which i find really helpful for great pictures.

The shutter setting is always 1/60 secs, the flash always goes off and the aperture ranges from F 12.7 inside or at night to F32 in the bright sunlight

-The only thing is in bright sunlight it can come out too light for real definition but its so rare that it doesn't actually matter that much.

I am in love with it.
Thanks for reading.
